Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) is incorporated into the Terms of Service and applies to every user of the Lumina service. Capitalised terms have the meanings given in the Terms.

1. Prohibited Conduct

You shall not use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law, regulation, sanctions regime or export control; (b) infringe any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, moral or contractual right; (c) generate, solicit or distribute child sexual abuse material, which will be reported to the competent authorities; (d) create sexual content depicting real identifiable persons without their documented consent, or intimate imagery of any person without consent; (e) produce content that harasses, threatens, defames, degrades or incites violence or hatred against any person or protected group; (f) generate malware, ransomware, exploit code, credential harvesting tools or instructions for unauthorised system access; (g) produce instructions for the synthesis or acquisition of weapons, explosives, biological, chemical, radiological or nuclear agents; (h) facilitate fraud, phishing, impersonation, deceptive political manipulation, market manipulation or money laundering; (i) present AI output as professional legal, medical, psychological or financial advice; (j) create deceptive deepfakes intended to mislead as to the words or conduct of a real person; (k) process special category personal data unlawfully; or (l) engage in academic or professional dishonesty in breach of an applicable institutional rule.

2. Prohibited Technical Activity

You shall not: circumvent authentication, entitlement checks, rate limits or allowance caps; share, rent or resell account access or generated capacity; automate use in a manner disproportionate to normal human interaction; conduct penetration testing, denial of service, or vulnerability scanning without prior written authorisation; extract, mirror or index the Service other than through documented interfaces; or attempt to obtain the credentials, prompts, embeddings or configuration of another user.

3. Photographic and Image Features

Image restoration, editing and reference features are generative. You must hold the rights and any necessary consents to every photograph you upload. You shall not use these features to alter documents of identity, official records, evidentiary material, or to misrepresent historical events.

4. Fair Use

Allowances, quotas and any capacity described as generous or uncapped are provided for ordinary interactive use by a single human user. We may impose proportionate technical limits, throttle requests, or require a higher plan where consumption is automated, resold, or materially exceeds ordinary use.

5. Enforcement

Where we reasonably suspect a breach of this Policy we may, at our discretion and without liability: issue a warning; remove or restrict access to Content; limit features; suspend or terminate the Account; retain records as required for legal purposes; and report the matter to law enforcement. Enforcement decisions may be appealed by writing to legal@lumina.app.

6. Reporting

Suspected violations, abuse or security vulnerabilities should be reported to Lumina at legal@lumina.app with sufficient detail to permit investigation. Good-faith security research reports will not be pursued where the researcher avoids privacy violations, service degradation and data exfiltration.
