Cookie Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Lumina uses cookies, browser local storage, session storage and similar technologies (collectively, “Storage Technologies”) in the Lumina service.
1. Strictly Necessary Storage
1.1 Authentication tokens. Stored to keep you signed in and to authorise requests to the backend. Duration: until sign-out or token expiry. 1.2 Session continuity. Stored to preserve the chat, document or prompt you are working on across page changes. Duration: session. 1.3 Security. Stored to mitigate cross-site request forgery and abusive automated traffic. These Storage Technologies are essential to provide the Service and cannot be disabled without preventing sign-in.
2. Functional Storage
Preferences such as interface theme, chat bubble colours and the last-used document type are stored locally so the Service appears as you configured it. Duration: until cleared by you.
3. Analytics and Advertising
We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not participate in cross-site behavioural advertising. Aggregate diagnostic and usage measurements are collected server-side and are described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party Storage
Where you sign in through a third-party identity provider or complete a payment through our payment processor, that provider may set its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control such cookies.
5. Managing Storage Technologies
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies and site data through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary Storage Technologies will prevent authentication and will make the Service unusable. Clearing site data will sign you out and reset local preferences.
6. Changes and Contact
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology or law. Questions may be sent to Lumina, Galveston, Texas, United States, or legal@lumina.app.
